I got this from Skylar's Dad, who got it from Johnny, etc.
I was once asked "Should we turn the ovens back on?" by the vice president of sales at the company I worked for in the 90's. He was angry that the owner of the company vetoed his request for some ridiculous commission reduction for sales reps. The owner is Jewish.
Needless to say the VP did not work long for the company. One of the best parts of this story is I had a hand in getting the VP fired from his job at that company and then again at another company. HAHAHHA!!! He got his comeuppance. The bastard.
There are only two people I can say I truly hate, I mean really hate with all my heart, the VP is one of them. He is a vile man. I hope he has a condition that makes his penis itch and swell at inappropriate times, and maybe burn when he urinates. Yeah, I hope his penis burns when he urinates, forever, no cure.
Now I am going to ask Karma not to send this bad neagtiveness back to me, ask god for forgiveness, and pray to my guardian angel for protection.

I don't get why he asked you that question? Am I mising some sales jargon inside joke or something?
The first time I read your post I didn't get it, but today I understand.
Wow. For someone to say something like that over a business decision - man, that's a hateful person. Did you reply? I guess I'd just have to shake my head and say something like, "I don't think there is EVER a time where a remark like that is called for."
Reminds me of a story.
Someone was once bitching at me about his horrible boss. He told me how in a meeting his boss said to him,
"Please stop talking now, because I I don't even want to know you think like that."
I've never forgotten it because the boss said what everyone had been thinking about this guy... but none had been clever enough to put words to it! Here the guy thought he was rallying support to hate the boss.... and I'm applauding in my head!
I've never used the line myself, but I've come close a few times. It often comes to mind when the President is talking, actually.
GKL: The guy was a moron, he would make remarks about the woman in the company not wearing their skirts short enough to please him, and remarks about the black guy that was the manager of customer service working as slow as molasses, and much more, just really hateful words and thoughts.
bubbles: no I didn't reply at the moment, but I did let the owner know what he said. In my world I never experienced someone like that until him.
