Yesterday I finished painting the main living area of the cottage. I had the entire day off from work thanks to Jenny. She worked the store for me.
G Man came down after his day of work and made me happy. He told me the place looked great and that the painting really made a difference, that it was a good thing I did do it. Then asked me when I could start painting the bedroom. It looked dingy compared to the rest of the cottage. He said he was sorry he did not help, but it would have been bad if he did. Which is true.
So I was happy that he liked the way the paint job turned out and that my color choice was acceptable to him. G Man now wants to get new furniture, the stuff we brought down from the house just isn't quite right, he said. Ha! I knew I would get new furniture out of this.

Have you seen the commercial for Home Depot with the daughter telling her dad how bad the kitchen looks and the cabinets are all old and crummy? Then she walks out of the kitchen and the mom hands her money?

Funny. I remember once thinking my furniture looked much better with the new paint! Too late. The new furniture was already ordered! :-)
Great work! I hired an artsy guy to do all our painting when the time comes - SV bitched about the cost a little, then we saw some of the guy's work in person and a couple of friends were raving about it and then he started to brag, "Yeah, we got him to do our whole house." Funny how it works.
