My 16 year old dog Terri has dingle berries. I realized it this morning when I picked her up to carry her down to the kitchen. Thank god they were not mushy. But now I have to figure out a way to get them off her little butt. She panics every time I wash her in the utility sink in the garage. The vet said that the stress from bathing and grooming is not good for her because of her age, so I only bathe her once a quarter.
My preference for removing them would be to have her soak in the sink, so the dingle berries soften and fall off. But I am concerned about stressing her. I can't cut them because her fur is very short and I am afraid I will nick her tender skin back there.
I wonder if I could use the shaver back there? I'll give it a try.

I use my old beard trimmer, works great!
Haven't you guys ever heard of Mobile Dog Groomers? Some things are worth the money, I say.
GKL:Yeah I do have a regular groomer but the vet said because of her age stressing her is not a good thing. She panics if she just hears the shower .Plus she has really bad hips, she was accidentally run over and has no hip bones. So the groomer is a not a good idea for her.
Would Nair work?
I thought of it because I heard a story in high school of a practical joke involving Nair and a jockstrap.
