Smells

I just finished my walk and even added an extra ten minutes tonight because the weather is balmy. The best part of the walk was the different smells. As I walked past flowering trees, dogwoods and crab apple I think, the perfume was wonderful. The pine trees were sending out a Christmas tree smell. A few hyacinths were left in someones garden that gave off a pleasant scent. My favorite though is the Lily of the Valley. Someone had 4 large gardens filled with it. It smelled so wonderful that I stopped and took in a few deep breathes, just so the smell would linger in my nose a little bit. This has been the best part of my day so far.

My husband is on his way home from a food show. He will add to the smells tonight. Although his scent will not be pleasant. He will stink like fried fish. At the food shows the vendors have samples of their foods and always have deep fryers going. The fryers cause everything to stink like fried fish. Yuck.

Before he arrives I will light my Lily of the Valley scented candles to counter his fish stink. He will shower and then smell like dove soap. I wonder if he would object to Lily of the Valley scented soap?

It's a little late for "stinko de my house" isn't it?

Most men like man soap, which is like that big old bar of Ivory. Nothing else.

Irish Spring Kristi- cause you get to carry around a big knife just to cut it with, and it brings the lassy's!

I love lilly of the valley. I doubt it would grow here... but I might have to see. I have a very shady area in back.

Thanks for the memory. I used to have a big garden full of them when I lived in the Chicago area.

I'm making sure to enjoy the lilac bush out back this year-- forgot to last year before the flowers dropped off.

Oh man, I hope my wife doesn't see these replies-- we had a big battle royale over bar soap vs. body wash. Yep-- I use bar soap. Sorry. I'm not using body wash. I'm male.

Skylars Dad: I feel bad for your wife I think I know those men stinks you guys leave

GKL: my husband said no way to the Lily of the Valley scent.

AB: maybe if you put in a lot of irrigation the Lily would grow, and lots of shade

JY: yeah I agree body wash should not be used by guys, unless your metro. I live in the city that is famous for the Lilac's. The festival is just ending this week.
