John McCain does not have Secret Service protection, read the article here. Is this real or pretend bravado? Sensible or not? An indication of a tough guy attitude that could carry over into the Presidency if he is elected? An attitude of defiance, of Oh it can't happen to me. McCain appears to be the only person not concerned about his safety, his staffers apparently are. They have asked the media not to report the lack of Secret Service protection.
I equate this lack of common sense with W's words "Bring 'em on". ( said with that stupid smirk of his, god I hate that smirk!) You can hear and watch him say it here. And then you can hear and watch the smirker here for more of his stupidity. and here. There are so many clips that it may be best if you just go to Youtube.
Sorry this was suppose to be about the lack of common sense McCain exhibits. I got distracted by the sheer numbers of "how stupid is Bush" sites.

Well, to be fair, if they had to run a metal detector over every single person who goes to hear McCain speak, he'd never get started on time. Do you have any idea how much time all those pacemakers, artificial hips, walkers, and Rascal Scooters take to clear security?
I bet he wears depends - that's at least some kind of protection.
