I am sooo excited

The air and hotel portion of planning our trip is almost finished...just waiting for our travel agent to send confirmation. We changed the cities we are going to visit...London, Paris and Rome now. We also have Jenny G's friend Katie coming with us.

We were going to do 4 nights in London, 3 in Paris and 3 in Rome, but G man has a thing about Paris so we are going to do only 2 nights there and we added the extra night to Rome. I swear he had to have been Italian in a past life....seriously...the man lives for Italian food, loves Frank Sinatra, and thinks he can speak like a Guido ( I mean Guido in the most loving way) from NYC. Thank god he doesn't have a gold necklace and wear his shirts unbuttoned like the style in the 70's and 80's.

I have to plan the activities part.....major sites where tickets are required I can order online. To my surprise the travel agent said we need to order tickets for the Vatican.

Train tickets from London to Bath and Stonehenge are a must do too. The travel agent will take care of the train to Paris, to Rome then back to London.
I would love to see Pompeii which is a 12 hour day from Rome. I am not sure about everyone else though. My daughter said this trip is reminiscent of Arizona.....stops at EVERY Indian ruin I could find. What can I say I don't want to miss a thing.

Side note: G man likes to slap my backside, after I get out of the shower. He calls it a love tap. Generally I don't mind unless it's PMS week then all hell breaks loose, but otherwise I bide my time to apply my love tap to his backside. This morning I left ( unintentionally) a stinger of a tap and a bright red hand print on his back end. He just called (2pm) to let me know the hand print is still visible and that I will pay dearly. Ouch!

there's no nice way to refer to people with italian heritage as "guidos". NYC or not. it's not received well. it's hurtful and judgmental.

I am so jealous of you! One of my dreams one day is to be able to travel pretty much anywhere. Lucky you, look out for the return "love tap", it might sting a little.

that planning sounds like a lot of work. I love when someone does that for me.

Wow.. that's a lot in a little amount of time. Sounds wonderful though. Don't forget to get your toga dry-cleaned.
