Sammy the Redhead & Belly the Cavalier

Sammy has to go back to the vet. The doctor called today, on a Sunday, to let us know that Sammy's liver something or other is 10x's what it should be. The phenobarbital levels are good, but something is wrong with his liver. The vet said we should have an ultra sound done asap to determine if Sammy has gall bladder issues and something else I can not spell or pronounce.

UUgghhh!. I noticed the redhead wasn't acting right the last few weeks. But nothing really specific. He was sleeping more giving me the squnity eye, and hiding under my desk more. I thought it was just the weather change. Good thing I took him in for his blood test last week.

I have not been able to schedule an appointment with the Cardiologist Vet for Belevedere. The cardiologist only works certain days and is booked solid. I am going to ask our regular vet for a different cardiologist name, hopefully there is another one.

I love my dogs.

All the dogs are getting the hang of the doggie door. Well at least most of them go out the door, coming back in is another matter.

Sounds like you're going above and beyond for your dogs. Hope it all works out for everyone.

I'm not sure not coming back in is such a bad thing... my dogs go out, jump in the pool (or wade in some cases), roll around in the desert dirt, and come inside. Sometimes they lay down and leave little dust piles. Sometimes the little ones jump on the furniture. I've threatened leaving them out full time... but I'm a softie.

Good luck with the tests!

Belevedere is the greatest name for a Cavalier.
