Today is back to work. G Man stopped at Tim Hortons for coffee instead of Starbucks. The company, Tim Hortons, buys some of his products so he wanted to try their coffee. Eehh, not as good as Starbucks, but it will do in a pinch and I like to support companies that buy from G Man.
Lucy our yellow lab came back with us so G Man can take her to the vet this afternoon. I think she may have a yeast infection, ya know down there. Poor dog.
It was kinda weird coming home. We have been at the cottage for the last few weeks and have not been home much. Our son cleaned the house, so there wasn't any dog fur bunnies scattered across the floor and in the corners and the frig is empty. Newspapers were piled up outside and stacks of mail were 6 inches high on the table. It was quite. We are going to commute from the cottage to work for most of the summer, it's about a 40 minute drive each way. Not bad.
I have plans to work in the park like gardens in the front of the cottage for the summer and get them in order. Our lawn guy said he thinks there were rats ( I prefer to think of them as cute bunnies) nesting in some of the bushes so he pruned the bushes back and removed the lower branches. This should help get rid of the "rat" bunnies. Apparently rat bunnies like to nest in low growth bushes. So far the dogs have not been going crazy so perhaps the rats were long gone before we arrived or our lawn guy was teasing me.
I can hardly wait for 5 o'clock.

Sounds Heavenly! Especially that easy commute from the cottage! That's the ticket!
Gardening sounds great, too. This time of year the gardens look pretty weak around here, but it turns around in the fall if it makes it.
Do all of your dogs swim in the lake? Two of my four enjoy the pool constantly, the other two wade on the playa step.
Congrats to Belvedere and enjoy your well deserved time at the cottage!
Bubbles: only the labs and the cavalier go in the lake. The westie has gone in once but she panicked. Because of her age and issues with hips I don't want her to go in again. The mini doxie wants no part of the water.
The labs love the water so much it's hard to get them out sometimes.
SKyler's Dad: Thanks!
40 mins - that's nothing. Too bad you can't work from there.
